I love this weather. Dark, stormy, thunderous, and dramatic. I have the kitchen window wide open allowing sneaky passage to air that feels so strangely warm. The aroma of my brewing pot of Cafe Indio and the splatter of pounding raindrops evoke a nostalgia for tropical afternoons spent in Teguc; some of my happiest moments. Leisurely swinging in a hand-crafted hammock hung under the balcony and dreaming out at mango trees running mini waterfalls off their leaves. It is the scent and the sound and the sight and the caress of Latin America.

Reminded today of how much I love it down there. I hope there will be days like this in Paraguay.
